Tentative itinerary

Day 1. Quito transfer in.

Arrival at the destination of your honeymoon, reception at the airport by the guide (WELCOME DETAIL) and transfer to the chosen hotel.

Day 2. Quito city tour. – San Miguel de los Bancos

The adventure begins with BREAKFAST in the captivating jewel of the Ecuadorian capital! We headed towards the historic center of the city, which has the largest and best-preserved colonial enclave in Latin America, so in 1978 Quito was the first city in the world declared by UNESCO, as Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

We will go up to the Guápulo Viewpoint where you can see the Church and Convent of the same name. Continuing the tour, we will take Av. 12 de Octubre until the National Assembly, where there is a mural with a historical overview of the Country, we continue through the Parque La Alameda, which is one of the first parks in the city. We arrived at the Basilica of the National Vote, an impressive construction of Gothic, unique style for having animals of the Ecuadorian fauna as gargoyles in the decoration of the Church, brief stop and explanation. We continue to the Plaza de la Independencia, where the tour continues foot. Visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral, The Church of the Tabernacle, The Company of Jesus, and the Church of San Francisco, (does not include tickets). We return to our transport to visit the Panecillo viewpoint, from where you can see the whole city in its maximum splendor. Try for the first time a LUNCH of typical Ecuadorian food and begin to decipher the peculiar flavors of this diverse cuisine.



In the afternoon, we will go to San Miguel de los Bancos, located 1h 30min from Quito. We will arrive at the amazing Kapari Natural Lodge. Due to the fact that it is by the Chocó biological corridor, a cloud forest of 100 hectares at 0º latitude, is one of the most bio-diverse places in birds, amphibians and plants around the world. They house more than 250 species of birds, 200 species of orchids and a great diversity of butterflies and bromeliads. This isolated and fascinating ecosystem is a perfect place for a unique encounter with nature and with the loved one.


In addition, this heavenly destination has great and modern facilities to grant the comfort it deserves, without losing respect for Mother Earth. We will have time to enjoy the nature and facilities of Kapari Lodge. (Pool, Whirlpool, Game Room).

Once the sun has fallen in the west in a dream sunset, let yourself be captivated by the symphony of nightlife. Walk the paths and homes of curious species that are waiting to be sighted in their most intimate state, all under the night sky of a unique forest. Close a spectacular evening with a romantic private DINNER, tasting delicacies from the sector that take the experience to another gastronomic level. Rest in rooms above clouds and dream of what will come the next day.


Day 3. San Miguel de los Bancos

BREAKFAST. One day will never be enough to finish appreciating the nature of the place and facilities of Kapari Lodge. This is why we will spend another day in this natural paradise. (Pool, Whirlpool, Game Room). Enter a hike to the Rio Blanca in the middle of Latitude Zero, walking along the equator. At noon enjoy a LUNCH. In the afternoon relax at the facilities and at night a DINNER, closing with the accommodation.



Day 4. San Miguel de los Bancos – Pululahua volcano crater

BREAKFAST. The last moments in Kapari say goodbye to the Chocó forest, the warm climate and the vegetation in an unforgettable landscape and first-class facilities. (Pool, Whirlpool, Game Room). LUNCH and then we will go to the city of Half the World at 1h 30min. (includes entrance) It is here, in the center of the planet, where the famous monument commemorating the arrival of the French Geodesics is located, who, together with Pedro Vicente Maldonado, in the colonial era, made measurements to determine the center of the world. It is only here that you have the possibility of changing the hemisphere with a single step. Within this monument there is a count of the many Ethnic groups that exist in the country. We will also visiti the Intiñan Museum to carry out different entertaining experiments linked to the fact of being in the equator. The culture, history and scientific wealth of the Middle of the World is the key point that gives life to the 4 worlds of Ecuador and its wonders.

After the tour we will head towards the potentially active Pululahua volcano. This volcano, which in the Kichwa (indigenous language) means “Water Cloud”, houses in its crater one of the few populations in the world that permanently inhabit the site. In this crater you can enjoy the decline of the sun among the scattered lava domes that paint a volcanic landscape but full of vegetation. In it you will enjoy a special DINNER and accommodation at the tip of an active volcano.


Day 5. Pululahua volcano crater – San Pablo Lake

When you open your eyes, the first thing you will see is the picturesque town of Pululahua followed by an appetizing breakfast BREAKFAST. To start the morning, we will have a massage with hot volcanic stones, which connect each other’s soul with the soul of the volcano. Leaving the majestic Pululahua behind, abandon the city via the “Panamericana Norte” road that allows us to have a panoramic view of the city. We will make a stop in the Guayllabamba valley where you can know the “chirimoya” (custard apples) typical Andean fruit of the area rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. We will cross the equator through the town of Cayambe where our guide will give us a bizcocho (which is like a delicious dough of wheat toasted in the oven), and queso de hoja (cheese that melts like thread) typical products of the zone. We will stop at the San Pablo Lake Viewpoint, in order to photograph it and observe the majestic Imbabura Volcano. LUNCH at the shore of this huge lake and we will continue until we reach the Otavalo’s Handicraft Market, which is possibly the best known in South America. Every Saturday, it is packed with different stalls where creations are handcrafted by the Otavalo natives themselves, from jewels, ceramics, tapestries, embroidery, hats, paintings and to even musical instruments. The mixture of colors, smells and sounds that invade the Plaza de Los Ponchos is a show all by itself. Later we will visit the town of Cotacachi, where we can see items made of high-quality leather. We will arrive at the Cabañas del Lago hotel, a lodging in the lagoon. We will enjoy a romantic DINNER on a starry night that let us see the Andean mountain horizon and reflects their brightness on the peaceful water of the lagoon, accommodation.


Day 6. San Pablo Lake – Papallacta

After having BREAKFAST in Cabañas del Lago, we will then head towards the town of Papallacta is located 2h 14min from San Pablo Lake. Papallacta is known for its hot springs and lagoon, located at 3300 meters high on the banks of the Papallacta River. This cozy thermal paradise is surrounded by a variety of Andean flora and fauna such as the Andean Condor, national bird. There are 9 hot pools and 3 pools of cold water from the river, which altogether give a very picturesque panorama.


Because Papallacta hot springs is in between 2 volcanoes, the Cayambe and the Antisana, it receives the heat source for their magma, resulting in temperatures between 30ºC to 70ºC. These natural pools contain high percentage of sulfate, chloride, sodium, calcium and trace of magnesium, they are colorless and colorless. These characteristics give the water healing properties such as: improving bowel function; anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and anti-rheumatic effects; It helps respiratory problems, arthritis and kidney disease. A medicinal hot bath at the skirts of volcanoes, surrounded by an imposing mountain range and next to the loved one is an unrepeatable experience. Day 7. Papallacta Transfer out

BREAKFAST will have a different and nostalgic taste because of being the last one, but at the same time, it wishes all the best in this new lifestyle, hoping you’d come back son. At an agreed time acording to your flight our staff will take you to the airport.
